Allps GPRS

Performing a Pre-Authentication with an Allps GPRS Terminal

Overview

This process outlines how to use an Allps GPRS card terminal to securely pre-authorize a client's payment instruction. The procedure involves capturing the client's consent by swiping their bank card and having them enter their PIN on the physical device. This authorization is then fetched by MAXMONEY to link the secure authentication to the loan.

Prerequisite: Terminal Setup

Before you can perform a GPRS terminal authentication, an administrator must ensure the terminal is correctly configured in the system.

Navigation: Setup > MAXCOLLECT > CSP Users

Step-by-Step Authentication Process

The process is performed in two parts: first on the physical GPRS terminal, and then within the MAXMONEY software.

Part 1: On the Allps GPRS Terminal

  1. Switch on the GPRS terminal device.
  2. Select your user profile on the terminal.
  3. From the main menu, select the Pre-Auth option.
  4. Swipe the client's bank card through the terminal when prompted.
  5. The terminal will connect to the server to retrieve the transaction details (TT3 information).
  6. Once the details are retrieved, hand the terminal to the client and instruct them to enter their card PIN.
  7. After the PIN is entered successfully, the terminal will display the loan reference and other key details for verification.

Part 2: In the MAXMONEY Software

After the client has successfully entered their PIN on the terminal, return to the relevant loan screen in MAXMONEY.

  1. Click the Check Authorisation Status button.
  2. The system will then communicate with Allps to retrieve the successful TT3 authorisation record.
  3. The relevant authorisation fields in MAXMONEY will be automatically populated, confirming that the pre-authentication is complete and securely linked to the loan.
