Reschedule Instalments

1. Overview

This feature allows you to adjust the due dates for all active instalments on a client's loan. It is used to systematically shift the payment schedule forward from a specified date, recalculating all future due dates based on the loan's original payment frequency (e.g., monthly, weekly).

Note on Penalty Interest (Profit Rate Loans): For loans configured with a "Profit Rate only," penalty interest will only be calculated after the new, rescheduled due date plus any applicable grace period has passed.

2. How to Reschedule Instalments

  1. After navigating to the client's loan portfolio, click the Reschedule button. The Reschedule Instalments screen will appear.
  2. Configure the rescheduling options as described below.

3. Rescheduling Options

Field / Option Description
Start Date Select the date from which the new instalment schedule should be calculated. All active instalments from this date forward will be rescheduled. For example, to align payments with the beginning of the current month, select the first day of that month .
Reschedule Partial Payments Tick this checkbox if you want to include and reschedule instalments that have already received a partial payment. If left unchecked, only instalments with no payments against them will be rescheduled.

4. Available Actions

Button Action
Reschedule Click this button to apply the changes and reschedule the active loan instalments according to the selected Start Date.
Cancel Click this button to exit the screen without making any changes to the instalment schedule.
