How to Edit a Payment Collection Instruction

Navigation: Client Administration > Search for an Existing Client > Payback Instructions > Edit Payback Instruction

Overview

This screen allows you to modify certain details of an existing payback instruction, such as changing its status (e.g., cancelling it) or adjusting the tracking period.


Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Navigate to Payback Instructions: Go to the client's Payback Instructions screen.
  2. Select the Instruction: From the list, click on the instruction you wish to modify to highlight it.
  3. Open the Edit Screen: Click the Edit Payback Instruction button. This will open the details screen.
  4. Update the Details: Make the necessary changes in the fields provided (see the Field Reference Guide below).
  5. Save Your Changes: Click the Save button to apply your updates.

Editable Fields

Field Name Description & Rules
Status You can change the status of the instruction here. For example, you can change an "Active" instruction to "Cancelled" or "Disabled".
Tracking You can select a new value for the number of days the bank should track the client's account for available funds.

Read-Only Information

Field Name Description & Rules
Bank Account This field displays the bank account linked to this instruction and cannot be edited here.  • CRITICAL: If a client's banking details have changed, you must cancel this instruction and create a completely new one with the updated bank account.

Record Details (Audit Trail)

This section provides a read-only log of when the instruction was created and last modified.
