This screen is used to capture the employment details of a new or existing client. Accurate employer information is crucial for affordability assessments and client verification.

To set up the employer affordability rules on a client, follow these steps:

This table details each field on the "Employer" screen, its requirements, and specific rules.

Field Name Required? Description & Rules
Employer Search No To find an existing employer, type all or part of the employer's name and click Search. The results will appear in the Employer dropdown list below.
Employer Yes Select the client's employer from the dropdown list. This list must be pre-configured by an administrator. for data sharing this must be the name of the company at which the customer is employed, if the customer is a business client, this must be the business name of the client.
Pay Point No Select the client's specific pay point, if applicable. This list is linked to the selected employer and must be pre-configured.
Employee Number No Enter the client's employee number exactly as it appears on their salary slip.
Other Employer Reference No An additional field for another reference number, such as a personnel number.
Pay-point Number No Enter the pay point number, if applicable.
Occupation No Enter the client's job title or occupation (e.g., "Accountant," "Driver"). For data sharing: this must be the job title of the customer and only A-Z, 0-9, apostrophe or Hyphen allowed.
Department No Enter the department where the client works (e.g., "Finance," "Logistics").
Supervisor No Enter the name of the client's direct supervisor.
Work Telephone Number No Enter the client's direct work phone number. For data sharing it is required if it is available, no spaces allowed, may not be filled with zeros and must have 10 digits. 
Work Telephone Number Not Available No Select this checkbox if the client does not have a work telephone number.
Commencement of Service No Enter the date the client began working for their current employer. Use the format dd/mm/yyyy.
Period at Previous Employer No Enter the number of years the client worked at their previous place of employment.
Appointment Type Yes Select the client's employment status from the list:  • Unknown  • Permanent • Temporary • Part Time  • Self Employed  • Contract  • Unemployed  • Allowance • Retired
Employment Contract Expiry Date No If Appointment Type is "Contract," enter the date the contract expires.
