This screen is used to define how a client will repay their loans, including the payment method, frequency, and specific rules for handling paydays.

This table details each field on the "Payback" screen, its requirements, and specific rules.

Payback Method

Field Name Required? Description & Rules
Payback Type Yes Select the client's primary method of repayment. This will be the default method for new loans, but it can be changed per loan. Changes to this field are logged.  Available options include:  • AEDO Receipt  • ATM Receipt  • Cash Receipt  • Credit Card Receipt  • DebiCheck Receipt  • Debit Card Receipt  • Debit Order Receipt  • EFT Receipt  • MCT/TMCT/TSP Receipt  • NAEDO Receipt  • Nampost Receipt (Namibia only)  • NuPay/Paym8/RealPay Receipt  • Salary Deduction Receipt  • Social Grant EFT Receipt  • Two Day EFT Receipt

Payment Schedule & Rules

Field Name Required? Description & Rules
Payment Frequency Yes Select how often the client receives their salary (e.g., Weekly, Monthly).
Payment Move Direction Yes Defines how to handle a payday that falls on a non-business day.  • Sunday/Public Holiday Backward: Payday moves to the day before. • Sunday/Public Holiday Forward: Payday moves to the day after.  • Weekend Backward: Payday moves to the Friday before.  • Weekend Forward: Payday moves to the Monday after.  • Leave on: The pay date is not moved.
Day of Month No If paid monthly on a specific date, enter the day (e.g., "25" for the 25th).
Day of Week No If paid weekly or fortnightly, select the specific day of the week.
Day of Month Rule No Use if the client is paid monthly but not on a fixed date (e.g., "Last Day of Month," "Last Friday of Month").

Special Payday Rules

Field Name Required? Description & Rules
December Day of Month No If the client is paid early in December, enter the specific date for that month.
Easter Day of Month No If the client is paid early during Easter, enter the specific date. Note: You will receive an error if you enter a date that does not exist in the selected month (e.g., entering "31" for April).
Easter Month of Year No Select the month in which Easter falls for the given year.

Collection Service Provider (CSP) / MaxCollect Setup

Field Name Required? Description & Rules
MaxCollect: Payback Parameters N/A This describes the system logic: The CSP Setup is automatically selected based on the Payback Type and the Preferred CSP Setup. The values can also be inherited from the client's Employer or Pay-point setup.
Preferred CSP Yes (if using MaxCollect) Select the primary Collection Service Provider for this client.
Preferred CSP Setup No Select the specific setup for the chosen CSP. This will be used as the default during loan creation.
Tracking Yes (if using MaxCollect EDO) Enter the number of days the CSP should track the client's bank account for due EDO instalments.
December Tracking No If a different tracking period is used in December, enter the number of days here.
Type of Authorization Required No Select the type of transaction authorization required: None, TT1, RealTime TT2, TT3, or TT1 Delayed.
SureSystem Note N/A When selecting MCT Receipt for SureSystem integration, the tracking days option will be displayed according to the specific setup.
