Overview

This report helps microlenders identify client data that does not meet SACRRA's data sharing requirements. Client data that is not compliant cannot be shared with credit bureaus.

Scope

All registered microlenders in South Africa and Namibia are required to share data with credit bureaus in accordance with the regulations. Non-compliance can result if data sharing requirements are not met. This report specifically checks the demographic data that would typically be used for data sharing purposes.

Generating the Report

General Information

• Menu Navigation: To access the report, navigate to MAXMONEY > Reporting > Administration > Data Sharing Compliance Report.

• Roles: Ensure the necessary user roles have the resource enabled to access this report.

Data Checks for Compliance

The report performs specific checks on various demographic data fields to ensure compliance.

Surname

• Must not be empty.

• Must only contain letters (A-Z), apostrophes ('), hyphens (-), and embedded spaces.

• Must be longer than 2 characters.

• Must contain at least one vowel (A, E, I, O, U, Y).

• Must not contain two or more spaces next to each other.

Full Names & First Name

• Must not be empty.

• Valid characters include letters (A-Z), spaces, apostrophes ('), and hyphens (-).

• Must contain at least one vowel (A, E, I, O, U, Y).

• Must not contain two or more spaces next to each other.

Initials

• Must not be empty.

ID Type

• For South African clients, the ID Type must be "South African ID number" or "Passport."

ID Number

• Must not contain a single repeated character throughout the entire field (e.g., 1111111111111 or 9999999999999).

• Must not start with four or more zeros.

• Must only contain numeric values; no special characters, hyphens, full stops, slashes, or spaces are allowed.

• Must not contain alphabetical characters.

Gender

• If a South African ID is provided, the gender must be correctly indicated based on the 7th character of the ID number:

  • Male: If the 7th character is 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9.

  • Female: If the 7th character is 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4.

Title

• The title field can be empty.

• Only the following MAXMONEY titles are allowed: Mr, Mrs, Ms, Prof, Dr, and Miss.

• The title "Other" is not allowed.

Date of Birth

• If a South African ID is not provided, the Date of Birth is mandatory.

• Must be a valid date.

• Cannot be a future date.

Client Number

• Only characters A-Z, 0-9, /, , or - are allowed.

• The client number cannot be changed.

Occupation

• May only contain 0-9, A-Z, apostrophes ('), and hyphens (-).

Employer Name

• May not contain the following characters: +, &, #, %, =.

• Must contain more than two characters.

Work Telephone Number

• No spaces are allowed between digits.

• Must not contain seven or more repeated numbers.

• Must be 10 digits long.

Home Telephone Number

• No spaces are allowed between digits.

Cellphone Number

• No spaces are allowed between digits.

• Must be 10 digits long.

Gross Income

• If the income field is not empty, the income frequency must be provided.

Physical Address

• Physical Address Line 1, 2, and 3:

  • May only contain 0-9, A-Z, apostrophes ('), and hyphens (-).

  • May not contain words such as "unknown," "as above," or "NA."

• Postal Code:

  • May only contain 0-9.

  • Must be entered in the address code field.

Postal Address

• Postal Address Line 1, 2, and 3:

  • May only contain 0-9, A-Z, apostrophes ('), and hyphens (-).

  • May not contain words such as "unknown," "as above," or "NA."

• Postal Code:

  • May only contain 0-9.

  • Must be entered in the address code field.

• The automatic monthly report will include all client statuses.
