Employer Batch Detail Update

1. Overview

The Employer Batch Detail Update is a powerful tool used to synchronize changes from an employer's record down to all associated client and loan records in a single operation. This feature should be used after you have edited and saved new information on an employer's profile (e.g., a new payday).

This process allows you to selectively push down updates to client details and automatically reschedule loan payments to match the new employer information.


2. Before You Begin: Security Permission

To access this feature, the user's role must have the following permission enabled:


3. Navigation

  1. From the main menu, go to Employer and search for the existing employer whose details you have recently updated.
  2. Select the employer from the search results.
  3. Click the Batch Detail Update button.

4. Batch Update Configuration

On the Batch Detail Update screen, you must select which information you want to synchronize. Use the checkboxes to choose the updates you wish to apply.

A. Client Detail Updates

Select the client-level fields you want to update to match the new values on the employer's record.

Option Action
Payback Date Tick to update the client's payback date.
Payback Type Tick to update the client's payback type.
December Payback Day Tick to update the client's specific payback day for December.
Easter Payback Day Tick to update the client's specific payback day for the Easter period.
Preferred CSP Tick to update the client's preferred Collection Service Provider (CSP).
Payment Frequency Rule Tick to update the client's payment frequency rule.

B. Loan Detail Updates (Rescheduling)

Select these options to automatically adjust loan installment dates based on the new payback information.

Option Action
Schedule Payback Change Tick this primary option to enable the rescheduling of installments based on the new payback date.
Reschedule Arrears Payments Adjusts only the installment payments currently in arrears to the new payback date.
Reschedule Future Payments Adjusts all future-dated installment payments to align with the new payback date.
Reschedule December Payments Adjusts only the installment payments scheduled for December to the new payback date.

IMPORTANT: You can only select one of the following options at a time: Reschedule Arrears Payments, Reschedule Future Payments, or Reschedule December Payments.

C. Pay Point Filter

This option allows you to limit the scope of the batch update.

Option Action
Pay Point To update only the clients linked to a specific pay point, select it from the drop-down list. Leave this blank to update all clients associated with the employer.

5. Executing the Update

Button Action
Cancel Exits the batch update screen without making any changes.
Finish Initiates the batch process. The system will apply the selected updates to all relevant client and loan records.
