View Transactions
Bookkeeping: View Transactions To get a quick overview of transactions posted on financial ledgers, navigate
to General Ledger > View Transactions. Note: The results displayed here are limited to 20 transactions. For a
more comprehensive view of transactions, please go to Reporting >
Accounting > Detailed Ledger Report. You can view transactions for all financial ledgers, with the exception of
the Debtors Account Ledger. To view the Debtors Account Ledger, go to Client
Administration > Search for an Existing Client >
Transactions. A security option for this view is available under the General Ledger Section
of the Role: Setup > View Transaction Details. You can search for ledgers using one of two methods: Search on Ledger Number: Select this option to use the
ledger/account number for your search. Search Value: Enter the full or partial ledger/account
number. Search on Ledger Description: Select this option to use the ledger
description for your search. Search Value: Enter the full or partial ledger/account name. This
field is case-sensitive. The following ledger information is displayed. (The ledger setup can be found
by going to Setup > Accounting > Financial
Ledgers.) Description Account No Control Type Financial Category VAT Type You can view the Transactions, Movement, and Balance of
a selected ledger. Highlight the selected ledger to view its transactions. Select the date range to view the transactions posted within that
period. Results are limited to 20 transactions. Highlight the selected ledger to view the transaction
movement. Select the date range to calculate the movement. Movement is calculated as the sum of transactions posted within the
selected date range. Highlight the selected ledger to view the transaction
balance. Select the end (to) date to calculate the ledger balance. Balance is calculated as the sum of all transactions up to the
specified end date.
