Edit a File Layout

> Edit File Layout
This section explains how to modify an existing
file layout in the system.
Steps to Edit a File
Layout
- Click on Edit File
Layout.
- The existing layout details will load. You can
adjust the following fields:
- Description: This is a
required field. Update the description or name for the file
layout if needed.
- Enabled: Select or
deselect this checkbox to control whether the file layout is active and
available for use.
- Link Detail Entries to:
Choose how the detail entries in the file should be linked. Options include
Client Number, Client ID Number,
Client Bank Account Number, or Loan
Number.
- Use Record Identifier:
Select this checkbox if your file contains a Record ID.
- Additional Header: Specify
the number of header lines in your file.
- Additional Trailer: Specify
the number of trailer lines in your file.
- Format: This is a
required field. Select the file format:
CSV, XLS (Excel 2003), or XLSX
(Excel 2007+).
- Column Separator: If the
file format is CSV, specify the character used to separate
columns (e.g., comma, semicolon).
- Use Transaction Counter:
Select this checkbox if the file format is CSV and you need
to include a transaction counter.
Buttons
- Save: Click this button to
save your changes to the database.
- Cancel: Click this button if
you don't want to save the information and wish to return to the previous
screen.
