Cash Up
To initiate a cash-up, navigate to General Ledger > Cash
Manager > Cash Up. Role Enablement: To perform a cash-up, your user role must have the
necessary permission enabled. This is configured under Setup >
Security > General Ledger: Cash Up. Force Cash Up: If "Force Cash Up" is selected in your cash box's
setup, you will be required to complete a cash-up before you can continue
working in the system. Blocked Cash Box: Depending on the cash box's setup, you might be
prevented from continuing work if your cash-up does not balance. If your cash
box becomes blocked, please contact your supervisor for assistance. Cash Up Reason Override: If your cash-up doesn't balance, and you
need to override the reason, ensure your user role has this permission
enabled: Setup > Security > General Ledger: Cash Up
Reason Override. A log is available for all completed cash-ups. It is highly recommended to
perform a cash-up daily. Count your cash: Accurately count the physical cash in your cash box
and enter this amount during the cash-up process. Verify transactions: If your cash-up does not balance, it may
indicate that a transaction was not recorded or was recorded with an incorrect
amount. Review the transactions within your cash box to ensure all entries are
correct. Timeliness: Do not postpone cash-ups for several days, and avoid
attempting to cash up for a past date. Always perform your cash-up on the date
of the last recorded transaction. For example, if you worked on a Saturday and
plan to cash up only on Monday, you must first complete the Saturday cash-up
before recording any transactions for Monday. Ideally, cash-ups should be
performed at the end of each working day.
