Editing an Existing Loan

Overview

This function allows you to view and, where permissible, modify the details of a loan that has already been created. The ability to change information is highly dependent on the loan's current status (e.g., 'Application' vs. 'Active'). For active or completed loans, most fields are view-only to maintain the integrity of the legal agreement.


Navigation

  1. Navigate to Client Administration and Search for Existing Client.
  2. From the search results, select (highlight) the desired client.
  3. Click the Loans button to view their loan history.
  4. From the list, select the specific loan you wish to view or edit.
  5. Click the Edit Loan button.

Understanding the Edit Loan Screen

The loan's details are organized into several tabs for clarity. The fields and tabs that appear may vary depending on your country's regulations and the specific loan product's configuration.

For a standard active loan, you will typically see the following:

 Information Group Description  Documentation 
 General  Contains the primary details of the loan, such as the Loan Product, Status, key dates (Application, Agreement), Loan Amount, and Term  General
 Fees and Interest  Displays all parameters related to the cost of credit, including the interest rate, initiation fees, and monthly service fees  Fees and Interest
 MaxCollect  Shows all settings for the automated payment collection, including the selected Collection Service Provider (CSP), bank account, and tracking rules  Payment collection
 Global Loan Protection (GLP)  Details any Credit Protection Insurance products attached to the loan  Credit Insurance
 Other  Contains miscellaneous information or additional fields that do not fit into the primary categories  Other
 Status  Explains the different loan statuses available in the system and the rules governing status changes  Loan Status
